FOOTBALL: Manchester United fans are calling Rashford the ‘new Cristiano Ronaldo’ after free kick stunner
Manchester United‘s recent history is littered with great free-kick takers, and Marcus Rashford may be about to add his name to that list after a sublime strike against Celta Vigo tonight.
The 19-year-old broke the deadlock for the Red Devils with a vital away goal at Balaidos, giving United a 1-0 lead and a major advantage in the tie as a whole.
United fans were happy with what they saw from their star youngster, who certainly looked reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo with the incredibly power he generated in his shot past Celta goalkeeper Sergio Alvarez.
The Spanish shot-stopper was having a fine game up until that moment, and United fans are now convinced Rashford can be the next Ronaldo after the latest display of what he’s got in his locker…

Meanwhile, some United fans have remembered that Paul Scholes actually made a similar observation not so long ago…
Scholes in 2016 : “You’ve not seen any yet, but Rashford hits free kicks in a dipping fashion, almost the way Cristiano Ronaldo does.”
