Juventus ready to offer Manchester United three players in exchange for Paul Pogba

Juventus are still fighting to re-sign Paul Pogba and are willing to offer Manchester United three players as part of a deal to bring him back to Turin.

The Frenchman wants to leave Old Trafford this summer and his former club are keen to bring him back to Serie A in a big-money deal.

There appears to have been little progress in negotiations, with Manchester United wanting at least £150m for the World Cup winner.

Juventus do not have the funds to make that kind of offer but are trying to get around the huge fee by offering the Red Devils Joao Cancelo, Blaise Matuidi and Douglas Costa as part of the deal, reports Corriere dello Sport.

United are still very keen to keep hold of Pogba and they have not showed interest in Costa, 28, Matuidi, 32, or Cancelo, 25, this summer, although they have been linked with all three in the past.

Having just forked out £50m on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, the Red Devils will almost certainly not be interested in the services of Cancelo at full-back.

It was reported earlier on Thursday that Real Madrid have now given up on bringing Pogba to the Santiago Bernabeu this year, leaving Juve as the only realistic contenders left in the race for his signature.

His agent, Mino Raiola certainly has not ruled out an Old Trafford exit, saying earlier in the week: ‘There’s still nothing.

Staying at Manchester United? I live my life day by day, we’ll see what happens. ‘The end of this story hasn’t been written. We’re here today, I don’t know about tomorrow.’

Pogba has already featured for United on their pre-season tour in Australia and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is considering offering him the club captaincy in a bid to convince him to stay
