Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is personally targeting a move for Inter striker Mauro Icardi, according to reports.
Maurizio Sarri is keen for the club to sign a new striker during the January transfer window, while Alvaro Morata is looking to leave Stamford Bridge. Bournemouth forward Callum Wilson is on Chelsea’s shortlist as a potential new signing this month.
But according to the Daily Mirror, Abramovich is keen on bringing Icardi to Stamford Bridge. The Argentina international has been in sublime form for Inter this season with 13 goals in 22 appearances so far.

Chelsea also face competition from Real Madrid for Icardi.
Morata, meanwhile, is exploring ways in which he can leave Chelsea this month and his agent has already held talks with Sevilla.
Sevilla are keen to sign Morata on a loan deal for the remainder of the season and are willing to pay more than half of the striker’s £150,000-a-week salary. But Chelsea’s hierarchy are reluctant to allow the Spain international to leave until a replacement is signed.
