Unai Emery wants Arsenal to strike a deal for Brazilian forward Wesley Moraes in January but has indicated his priority is to sign a left-back.
Wesley, 22, only signed for Club Brugge two years ago but has already developed into a key player for the Belgian club.
He has scored 31 goals in 100 appearances for Club Brugge, netting ten times already during the 2018-19 campaign.
His performances have attracted interest from Valencia and Fiorentina, but Premier League giants Arsenal are also interested in securing his signature.
The Sun say Gunners boss Emery is keeping tabs on Wesley’s performances in Belgium and is lining up a £15million offer for the forward in January.
Wesley is contracted to Club Brugge for another four years but it is claimed the club may be tempted to cash in if a significant offer was to land on the table.
Arsenal have made a fantastic start to the season under Emery and extended their unbeaten run to 20 games with a 2-2 draw against Manchester United on Wednesday.
But the former PSG boss believes Wesley would be a welcome addition to his squad and a player capable of providing support to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
However, The Sun also say that Emery has made it clear that his priority is to sign a left-back, with Nacho Monreal likely to leave at the end of the season.
Arsenal slipped back to sixth in the Premier League table after drawing to United and face struggling Huddersfield this weekend.
